Somewhat foolishly I thought it was developed by the same devs as Medieval Dynasty and was envisioning MD set in the Wild West. For a story driven dynasty game, at the very least you should actually be able to complete the main story line and create your dynasty before the game is opened for play to the (paying) public in any way, shape or form. This game is not about debugging and testing systems. And the devs get many, many eyes and ears on the ground to debug and can thus concentrate on additional content and the 'roadmap'. The EA phase is (and IMHO should be) about finding bugs and exploits and testing play on as many different systems as possible. They all more or less play like finished games with the main game concepts done. I have played quite a few EA games (Astro Colony, Planet Crafter, Going Medieval, Farthest Frontier to name a few). Not to put too fine a point on it but it's a shambles.
